Sara Jane Reese

Sara Jane Reese, 80, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a two-week illness. She was born December 2, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Ross J. and Myrtle Scott Herron. Mrs. Reese graduated from Trinity High School in 1944 and was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Washington Hospital Volunteer�s Auxiliary. On July 12, 1946, she married Samuel E. Reese, who died October 3, 2001. Surviving are three sons, Donald W. (Karen) Reese, Michael E. (Susan) Reese, and Scott R. (Darla) Reese, all of Washington; a daughter, Janet M. (James) Lis of Washington; a brother, Carl W. Herron, of Washington; six grandchildren, Ronald W. Reese, Marcie M. Zites, Nicholas S., M. Kent, Emily Louise, and Sara Elizabeth Reese; and three great grandchildren, Shanna Reese, John Zites and Jessica Zites. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007. Interment will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Hospital Auxiliary, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301; Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
