Mary Margaret “Peggy” Bryker, 63, of Washington, died at 4:47 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. She was born February 5, 1944, in Washington, a daughter of John Martin Paul and Sadie Veronica Avolia Paul. Mrs. Bryker graduated from Trinity in 1962, and attended Point Park College and Waynesburg School of Nursing. She was employed at the Washington County Health Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 23 years. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Bryker was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was a special minister of the Eucharist and a member of its Christian Mothers group. She was also a member of the Democratic Women and volunteered for several local charities, including the Heart Association, United Cerebral Palsy and the Washington County Food Bank. Her dedication to ensuring the most comfortable life possible for her husband, children, and grandchildren was truly inspiring and can be matched by no other. Her caring spirit and generous nature was a blessing to all who she came in contact with. She was tireless in her efforts to improve the lives of others, which made an impression on all who knew her. On February 27, 1965, she married T. William Bryker, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas W. Bryker, III, and Christopher J. (Tricia) Bryker, both of Washington; one sister, Christy (Gregory) Thomas of Washington; two grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth and Sarah Jessica Bryker; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Rev. William Feeney as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
