Betty Jane Mccloskey

Washington resident. Betty J. McCloskey, 86, of Washington, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township. She had been ill since November 2002. She was born February 2, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of James and Grace Beddow Leonard. Mrs. McCloskey had done housework for various families in the area. In Cumberland, Md., she married Walter J. McCloskey, who died July 31, 1970. Surviving are a son, Walter M. and wife Mary Ellen McCloskey of Washington; a sister, Doloris Horner of Claysville; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, Alfred, Don, Kenneth and William Leonard; and two sisters, Mary Burk and Ruth Knox. At the request of deceased, there will be no public visitation or services.
