Charles E. Crowe, 71, of Washington, died at 7:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, in his home. He had been in declining health. He was born June 25, 1935, in West Alexander, a son of William B. and Dorothy Hilton Crowe. Mr. Crow graduated from high school and electronics school. He worked in the maintenance department of Brockway Glass #7 for 22 years. Mr. Crowe was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, and enjoyed going to auctions, talking to people and technology. On March 30, 1959, he married Helen Marie Varner, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Charles Edward Crowe, II, of Saxonburg, David Crowe of Sidney, Ohio, Daniel Crowe of Washington, and Quentin Crowe of Atlanta, Georgia; three daughters, Melanie Evanovich of Washington, Pamela Washington of Seven Hills, Ohio, and Amy Loughman of Centerville, Ohio; two sisters, Jean Mayne of West Alexander and Carolyn Craig of South Carolina; fourteen grandchildren, Laura Buterbaugh, Jessica Crowe, Zachary Crowe, Robert, Alexis and Matthew Washington, Brandy, Chelsea and Lacy Evanovich, Colon and Saffron Crowe, Christian and Kaden Loughman and Brooklyn Crowe; and two great-grandchildren Maddox Kehn and Zahara Konklin. Deceased are two brothers, William B. Crowe, Jr., and Thomas L. Crowe, Sr. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Kingdom Hall, Cleveland Road, Washington, with John Miller officiating.
