Clara A. Reed

Clara Anetta Reed, 88, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Donnell House. She was born November 22, 1918, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Richard Goslin and Elizabeth Goslin Tucker. Mrs. Reed was a member of Central Assembly of God Church, Houston. She worked in sales for Horne's in downtown Pittsburgh, Peggy Ann Shop, Sol Mintz, as well as several other local clothing stores. He first husband, Merle Nuzum, died in 1972. On January 24, 1975, she married William L. Reed, who died October 15, 1992. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Nuzum and David Nuzum, both of Washington; two daughters, Charlene Paluda of Washington, and Susie (Harold) Bowman of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Mark Bowman, David John Nuzum, Robin (Brad) Acklin, Ken (Deanna) Nuzum, Darla (James) Mayble, and Joe (Sandy) Nuzum; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Albert and Ellsworth Goslin; two sisters, Emma Goslin Jefferies and Evelyn Goslin; and a grandson, Richard James Strope. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007, with Pastor Stephen Getchell officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
