James V. Hartley

James Vincent "Hawk" Hartley, 56, of New Eagle, died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in his home following a brief illness. He was born December 23, 1950, in Washington, a son of Lester and Elizabeth Montecalvo Hartley. Mr. Hartley graduated from Washington High School in 1970 and served in the Army from September 23, 1970, until his honorable discharge on April 25, 1972. He was a carpenter who worked for various local contractors, most recently for Right Angel Contracting and E. B. Evans Cabinetry. Mr. Hartley was Episcopalian and enjoyed fishing and cooking. On January 11, 2006, he married Michele Daley, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Dusten Hartley and Kristopher Hartley, both of Washington and Guy Hartley, at home; a daughter, Abby Hartley of Washington; a brother, Dick Hartley, and a sister, Linda Carrozza, both of Washington. Deceased are two brothers, Rick Lester Hartley and Arthur Hartley. Friends will be received 2 until 7 p.m., the hour of service, Thursday, July 12, 2007, in William G.
