Mary Priscilla Simpson Wells, 52, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 27, 1954, in Altoona, a daughter of Florence Caputo Simpson of Washington and the late Jack Pratt Simpson.
Mrs. Wells was a high school graduate, attended Penn Commercial for two years, and worked in the personnel department at Fort Benning, Georgia, for twenty years. She had lived in Los Angeles for two years with her daughter prior to moving back to Washington.
Mrs. Well was a member of Washington Alliance Church and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed athletics, especially roller-skating in her youth.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Jeremy Burrow of Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Ashley Pabian of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Douglas Simpson of Bedford, and Daniel Simpson of Key West, Florida; three grandchildren, Dylan, Ashleigh and Steven Burrow.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2007, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Clarence Croscutt officiating.
