Paul M. Bardella, 46, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, in his home, following a seven-month courageous battle with cancer, with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born December 19, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late William and Marilyn (Jerry) Kossarak Bardella.
He was a 1978 graduate of Avella High School and a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed watching his boys play ball.
Mr. Bardella was employed by Penn Dot, working on the road crew, for nineteen years.
On February 6, 1981, he married Brenda Ruetschi Bardella, who survives along with his twin sons, Justin and Jeremi Bardella, still at home.
Surviving are two brothers, William Bardella of Washington and David Bardella of Avella; two sisters, Debbie Bardella of Charleroi and Tina Rucci of Avella. Also several nieces and nephews, Kayla and Preston, Jennifer, Keith, Kevin, Armand, Aaron, Brian, Steve, Joey, Nicole, Sarah, Jessica, Dacia, and Brianna.
Friends will be received 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 18, 2006, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Cemetery, 200 Banetown Road, Amity, with Pastor David Decker officiating. Immediately following, a memorial service will be held at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Amity.
