Darwin Raymond (Ray) Nestor, 71, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 23, 1935, in Topeka, Kan., a son of Mary Freeland Farrow of Greenville.
Mr. Nestor owned Ray's Sign Shop in Washington from 1973 to 1991. He worked as a welder for Fort Pitt Bridge Works for more than 20 years and had worked as a cake decorator for Giant Eagle.
He was an artist and enjoyed woodworking and, when younger, competing in roller-skating competitions.
Surviving are his companion, Lois Allender; two sons, Kevin (Lou Ann) Nestor of Washington and Jeffrey (Gina) Nestor of Canonsburg; two daughters, Cindy (Lee) Campsey and Tammy (Mark) Hunter, both of Washington; a sister, Dorine (Ivan) Pritts of Greenville; six grandchildren, Chad, Todd and Nathan Campsey and Jessica, Christopher and Joshua Hunter; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are his father, Felix M. "Fuzzy" Farrow; and a grandson, Matthew Campsey.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., the time of memorial service, Saturday, December 16, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The Rev. Andrew Cobucci will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to Parkinson's Foundation of Pittsburgh, 6507 Wilkins Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
