Celina Brewer, 63, of Okeechobee, FL., formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at the Hamrick Home, in Okeechobee.
Mrs. Brewer was born October 28, 1943, in Brownsville, Texas, a daughter of Tomas and Luz Gonzalez Linan.
Mrs. Brewer was a Catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington.
She was employed at Ball Glass, as an inspector in Quality Control for ten years.
Mrs. Brewer was a long-time member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 American Legion Auxiliary, where she helped the Home Association when possible, working bingo’s, dinners, and other events. In Okeechobee, she was a member of American Legion Post 64.
Mrs. Brewer was very family oriented.
On July 4, 1964, she married Kenneth Brewer, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel Brewer of Los Angeles, CA. and James Brewer, of Fairmont, WV; two brothers, Frank and Rich Linan, both of Washington; and a granddaughter, Amber Miller. Also her step-mother, Ofelia Linan, of Washington; and the families of Roy Cortez, Lupe Ruez, and Ramon Garcia, all of Chicago.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2007, with Father Nicholas Spirko officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery.
