Rhea June Malone Peterson, 84, of Clearwater, Florida, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, following a six-week illness.
She was born May 30, 1923, in Blacksville, West Virginia, a daughter of Donley and Eva Fetty Owen.
Mrs. Peterson worked for RCA in Meadowlands for many years and had been a pharmacy technician for Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater for seven years.
She was Presbyterian, a member of Eastern Star, and enjoyed bingo and other activities.
Her first husband, Robert William Malone, died in 1981.
In 1989, she married Wilbur Peterson, who died in 1999.
Surviving are a son, Robert W. Malone, Jr., of Oden, Arkansas; a daughter, Sandra Malone Leonard, of Clearwater, Florida; a sister, Illa Carol Bedillion of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, David Leonard, Jr., Michelle Leavy, Thomas Chance Malone and Morgan Malone; and two great-grandchildren, Matson Delaney Leonard and Owen James Leavy.
Deceased are two brothers, Gordon Owen and Robert Owen; and a sister, Naomi Kelley.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 6th, from 2 to 3 p.m., the hour of service, in the Mausoleum Chapel at the Washington Cemetery, with Rev. Sue Petritis officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
