Regina Jane Huskey

Regina Jane Huskey, 71, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006, in Donnell House, Washington. She was born November 9, 1934, in Houston, a daughter of Marion W. and Martha B. Toland Knestrick. Mrs. Huskey attended Eighth Ward School, graduated from Washington High School in 1952 and attended Penn Commercial College. She was a bookkeeper for Brown and Husted Motors. Mrs. Huskey and her husband owned and operated Huskey's Superette for 25 years. Until her health failed, she was a faithful volunteer at Washington Hospital. For 55 years, Mrs. Huskey was a member of and regularly attended West Washington Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and a friend to many people. On June 15, 1957, she married William B. Huskey, who died February 22, 1999. Surviving are a son, the Rev. James (Cindy) Huskey of Weston, Ore.; a daughter, Jennifer L. Huskey of Washington; a sister, Elizabeth Knestrick Kidder of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Christina, Elizabeth and Melissa Huskey and Kimberly (Silas) Kelty; a beloved aunt, Betty Knestrick Miller of Boca Raton, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deceased is a brother, Robert Lee Knestrick. Friends will be received noon to 8 p.m., the hour of services, Friday, September 22, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with her son, the Rev. James W. Huskey, and her niece, the Rev. Susan Kidder Petritis, officiating.
