Ellen Celeste Pintola, 80, of Washington, died at 2:55 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2006, following a brief illness.
She was born September 26, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Luigi and Guistina Marchione Di Bello.
Mrs. Pintola graduated from Washington High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a packer/supervisor for 30 years at Hazel-Atlas #1, Continental Can and Brockway.
Mrs. Pintola was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion and volunteered for many years at The Washington Hospital.
She enjoyed bowling, dart ball and bingo.
Mrs. Pintola was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Christian Mothers and Divina Madre, Sons of Italy of America.
Her husband, Joseph Pintola, died in March 1981.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Pintola of Washington, and his fiancée, Alexandra, who was Mrs. Pintola’s caregiver, Louis James Pintola and wife, Anita, of Villa Park, California, and Michael Anthony Pintola of Washington, a brother, Eugene “Ginoâ€쳌, and wife Lee, Di Bello of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Ida Di Martino of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jean Summers of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren, Julian Pintola, Joel Pintola, Louis Michael Pintola and Maria Louise Pintola.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006, in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington.
