Callista June Greely, 79, died Sunday, August 20, 2006.
She was born June 20, 1927, in Chartiers Township, a daughter of William H. and Jennie Alderson Williams.
She attended Houston School and Canonsburg High School, graduating in 1945.
She worked for 11 years at Paul's Food Market in Houston as head cashier and assistant manager; nine years at Henderson Glass in Canonsburg, where she trained and received her journeyman's card as a full-fledged glass engraver; and 11 years at Youth Development Center as a house parent.
On May 25, 1946, she married Arthur J. Greely, who died September 1, 1984.
Surviving are a brother, Harry W. Williams; a daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Piccolo Greely; a sister-in-law, Agnes (Aggie) Williams; and two nieces Lisa Williams Presto and Judy Williams Sobansky, nephew Gregory Williams, three great-nieces Brandy Presto, Jody and Jill Sobansky and two great-nephews Joshua Williams and Elmer Lee Sobansky II, all descendants of the late Jules and Ida Alderson Mathot.
Deceased are a son, James A. Greely, who died September 30, 1999, and a brother, Allen R. "Ack" Williams.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Services will be private with Pastor Joe DiDenato officiating. Interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
