Barbara Jean Grassel

Barbara J. Grassel, 75, of Washington, died Sunday, September 16, 2007, in Humbert Lane Personal Care, having been in declining health. She was born in Washington on August 1, 1932, a daughter of Charles W. and Murice Smith Morris. Mrs. Grassel was a graduate of Washington High School and had once worked as a clerk at Revco. For many years, she was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Washington and had most recently attended Bethel United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed arts & crafts and collected miniatures. On March 29, 1951, she married William Milton Grassel who died on January 15, 2003. Surviving are four sons, William Grassel, Jr., of Washington, David Grassel of Masontown, Richard ( Ruth ) Grassel of Ambridge, and Bryan Grassel of Charleroi; a brother Eldon Morris of Claysville; for grandchildren, Bryan Grassel, Jr., Shawn, Jeremiah, and Jordon Grassel. Deceased is her step-father Clayton Day who raised her. A memorial service will be held for Barbara J. Grassel, 75, of Washington, who died Sunday, September 16, 2007, on Wednesday, September 19, 2007,at 1:00 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Rev. Rich Grassel officiating. Private burial will be held in Upper Ten Mile Cemetery in Prosperity.
