Ann B. Steadman

Ann B. Steadman, 86, of Westland, died at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, in the Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health for six months. She was born April 9, 1921, a daughter of James and Cora Mae Callagher Crawford. Mrs. Steadman was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and worked as an aid at Western Center for 27 years. She was a member of Houston United Presbyterian Church, Chartiers Houston Senior Citizens, McDonald American Legion Auxiliary, and Canonsburg Moose Lodge Auxiliary. Mrs. Steadman enjoyed her family and friends, looking at family photos, and baking. In 1940, she married Charles William Steadman, who died March 31, 1974. Surviving are three sons, James William Steadman of Chincoteague, Virginia, Thomas A. (Debbie) Steadman of California, PA, and Charles C. (Terry) Steadman of Washington; two daughters, Charlotte Hudson of Virginia and Wilma M. “Billie” (the late Jerry) Davis, of Washington; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters, Alma Cipriani and Wilda Smith. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2007, with Rev. Clarejean Haury officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
