Elizabeth (Biggie) Katherine Naylon

Elizabeth Katherine "Biggie" Naylon, 87, of Eighty-Four, died Sunday, September 9, 2007, in Donnell House. She was born September 20, 1919, in Mullins, West Virginia, a daughter of James L. and Allie Atkinson Naylon. Ms. Naylon graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and Penn Commercial. For 42 years she worked as a secretary to a division manager at West Penn Power Company. Ms. Naylon was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She played bridge for various clubs, enjoyed traveling, and was very devoted to her family. During the 1950's, she sang with the Sweet Adeline's쳌 quartet "Trebletones." Surviving are two sisters, Margaret N. Smith of Washington and Helen N. (John) Joyce of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nieces, Kathleen A. (Robert) Devore of Eighty-Four and Suzanne M. (Robert) Skowron of Yorba Linda, California; one nephew, David (Margaret) Naylon of Fairbanks, Alaska; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; and one great-great niece. Deceased are a brother, James M. Naylon; and a nephew, Robert G. Smith, Jr. Friends will be received 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington PA 15301; or to Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington PA 15301.
