Harold Wray McCormick, 83, of Washington, died Thursday, September 6, 2007, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
He was born in West Finley Township June 29, 1924, a son of Elmer L. Sr. and Bessie E. Gleason McCormick.
Mr. McCormick graduated from Morris Township High School in 1944 and was a member of Old Concord Presbyterian Church, Prosperity.
He was employed by Suwak Trucking for 34 years, from 1951 to 1985, as a dock foreman and was a member of Teamsters Local 585.
On October 21, 1947, he married Leona Breese, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Harold Duane (Marilyn) McCormick of Washington and Ronald Lee McCormick of Dallas, W.Va.; a daughter, Reca McCormick Panian of Washington; a brother, Charles E. McCormick of Washington; a sister, Etola Pratt of Scottville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Diana McCosby, Kari Ann McCormick, Heather Crow, Joel Panian, Jason White and Eli White; and three great-grandchildren, Kelly, Kevin and Shane McCosby.
Deceased are two sisters, Martha Day and Elsie Migacz; four brothers, Elmer, Edgar, Lee and Grover G. McCormick; and four brothers who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 10, in Old Concord Presbyterian Church, Prosperity, with Pastor Jean Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
