Lenora Marie (Lea) Gilmore

Member of Immaculate Conception Church. Lenora Marie (Lea) Gilmore, 85, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in her home. She was born July 3, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of John and Mary Carnazia Bonsanto. Mrs. Gilmore was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. She belonged to Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America and Immaculate Conception Friendship Club. She was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School. On December 21, 1941, she married John Thomas Gilmore Sr., who died April 1, 1991. Surviving are two sons, John Thomas Gilmore Jr. of Albany, Calif., and Timothy Mark Gilmore and wife Jill of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Colleen Marie Wamsley and husband Andrew of Akron, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; several great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and several great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Erin Michelle Gilmore, Grant Richard Gilmore, Angela Marie Wamsley and Alice Kathryn Wamsley. Deceased are four brothers, Samuel Comito, Frank Comito, Nick Comito, Michael Comito; and a sister, Emma Comito Sim. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 19, in Immaculate Conception Church, followed by entombment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, John F. Kennedy Catholic School Scholarship Fund or Immaculate Conception Church.
