Matthew Marco Medovich, 84, of Washington, died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007, in Donnell House. He had been ill since July.
He was born October 14, 1922, in Washington, a son of John and Sophia Medovich.
Mr. Medovich was a Canton Township supervisor and worked as a welder-fabricator for Star Mould.
He was a member of St. Hilary Church, Croatian Club and Polish Club. Mr. Medovich enjoyed working with mechanical things, was an inventor, and enjoyed being with people.
On May 17, 1943, he married Hellen Ann Wronsky, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew Marco (Wanda) Medovich, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Shirley (William) Woods, of Parma, Ohio; one brother, John Medovich of Washington; and a sister, Kathryn Tonsetic (companion Edith Tatterson) of Washington; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Michael Medovich; and a sister, Mary Fitzgerald.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas D. O�Neil as celebrant. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
