Helen Jane Bryner, 92, of Claysville, formerly of Washington, died Monday, August 27, 2007. She had been in failing health.
She was born May 8, 1915, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph T. and Helen J. Lindberg Perry.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bryner worked for thirteen years in sales at J.C. Penney.
She was Methodist and was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary.
On August 1, 1937, she married James A. Bryner, who died June 21, 1978.
Surviving are a stepson, James Bryner; three step-grandchildren, Mary Carol, Martha Frances and James; several step great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Bryner of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Alice Patterson; and a brother, Edward D. Perry.
Friends will be received noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
