Helen Jane Bryner

Helen Jane Bryner, 92, of Claysville, formerly of Washington, died Monday, August 27, 2007. She had been in failing health. She was born May 8, 1915, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph T. and Helen J. Lindberg Perry. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bryner worked for thirteen years in sales at J.C. Penney. She was Methodist and was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary. On August 1, 1937, she married James A. Bryner, who died June 21, 1978. Surviving are a stepson, James Bryner; three step-grandchildren, Mary Carol, Martha Frances and James; several step great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Bryner of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Alice Patterson; and a brother, Edward D. Perry. Friends will be received noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
