James Franklin Reese, 61, of Washington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 21, 2007, in the Emergency Room of the Washington Hospital.
He was born August 12, 1946, in Washington, a son of the late John and Sudie Pierce Reese.
Mr. Reese graduated from McGuffey High School in 1965, and served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
Before his retirement, Mr. Reese worked as a grinder, operator and craneman for Washington Steel and Allegheny Ludlum. He currently worked for US Securities.
Mr. Reese enjoyed working on cars and formerly sponsored Reese's Women's Softball Team.
On May 1, 1976, he married Linda Jane Gilbert, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard James Reese of Washington and Bryan Leroy (Treena) Reese of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa Ann (Donald Wayne) Dunn of Washington; two brothers, Samuel Lee Reese of Erylinger, Kentucky and Franklin Julius Reese of Medford, Massachusetts; and three grandchildren, Tasha Reese, Christopher Dunn and Nicholas Reese.
Deceased is a son, James Richard Reese, who was a twin.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2007, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
