Julia Anne S. Linck, 85, of Washington, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2007, in Presbyterian Senior Care following a 16-month illness.
She was born January 15, 1922, in Williamsport, a daughter of Ralph and Julia Shaw Staver.
Mrs. Linck graduated from Williamsport High School and attended Lycoming College for two years.
She worked as a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service for 25 years and as a secretary to alderman Jim D'Alessandro.
Mrs. Linck was a member of the Church of the Covenant, Current Events Club, and Mayflower Society, a fifty-year member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and enjoyed genealogy.
Her husband, George Linck, died in 1966.
Surviving are a son George S. and his wife Corrine Linck of Washington; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan and Preston Linck.
Deceased are two brothers, Ralph and Robert Staver.
Friends will be received 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Private services will be held on Thursday. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be made to Church of the Covenant, 267 East Beau Street, Washington PA 15301 or to Third Street United Methodist Church, 931 East 3rd Street, Williamsport PA 17701.
