Alvin E. Morris, 79, of Washington, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, in the Washington Hospital after having been in declining health. He was born in Washington on August 7, 1927, a son of Patrick and Mary Lang Morris, Sr. Mr. Morris was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School. He is a veteran and member of American Legion Post # 175, he was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 22, was a Pilgrim and Supreme Auditor. He has been a long time avid Steelers fan. Mr. Morris enjoyed flea markets. He loved his dog Angel. On June 26, 1971, he married Olive Reedy who survives. Also surviving are three sons, John ( Sharon ) Wojcuich of Richlands, North Carolina, Harold ( Jami ) Maleski of Washington, and Larry Morris of Eighty-Four; two daughters, Marilyn Taylor and Sandra ( Kevin ) Kveder, both of Washington; two sisters, Evelyn Meeks of Issasquah, Washington, and Margaret Stimmell of Washington; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are brother’s Patrick, Jr., Walter, Edward, and John Morris. Friends of Alvin E. Morris, 79, of Washington, who died Saturday, August 12, 2006, will be received on Tuesday, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where a service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. At the request of the deceased, no flowers will be accepted by the funeral home for display.
