Elizabeth Cummins

Elizabeth Louise (Betty) Cummins, 55, of Washington, died at 9:33 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a three-and-a-half year illness. She was born March 26, 1951, in Washington, a daughter of Lawrence William and Helen Louise Eft Lazear. Mrs. Cummins worked as a nurse's aide at Washington County Health Center for 20 years. She was a member of Glenn Street Free Methodist Church. On September 18, 1971, she married Howard Ray Cummins Sr., who died November 4, 2002. Surviving are two sons, Howard Ray (Lori) Cummins Jr. of Carnegie and Bryon Anthony Cummins of Washington; two brothers, Dean M. Lazear of Washington and Charles R. Lazear of Avella; and three grandchildren, Adrienne, Andrew and Haley Cummins. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, with the Rev. Robert A. Neal officiating. Burial will follow in North Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.
