Judith B. Ellis

Judith B. Ellis, 57, of Washington, died Monday, July 30, 2007, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness. She was born April 23, 1950, in Allegheny County, a daughter of Hope Dillard McClendon of Washington and the late Booker T. Dixon. Mrs. Ellis attended Trinity High School and was a homemaker. She was a Jehovah's Witness and enjoyed reading her bible. On June 15, 1973, she married Edgar J. "Punkin" Ellis, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Edgar "J.R." Ellis and Boomer Comedy, both of Washington; two daughters, April Caline Dixon of Washington and Carrie Oakley of Olympia, Washington; one sister, Christine Sims of Youngstown, Ohio; and twelve grandchildren. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
