Robert Ernest Foster, 85, of Claysville, Pennsylvania, died at 1:45 p.m. in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Aspinwall, following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 21, 1921, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a son of William Foster and Martha Chipps Foster Price.
Mr. Foster was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a merchant seaman for twenty years and worked at Pennsylvania Transformer for five years.
He enjoyed traveling and had lived in Las Vegas for several years.
In May 1950, He married Celia Fernandez, who died June 26, 1976.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Mary Lou) Foster of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Martha (Charles) Jackson of Kingwood, West Virginia, Betty (Jerry) Richmond of Cornelia, Georgia, and Margaret (Rodger) Barlow of Kissimmee, Florida; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Wayne Foster.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, in the Washington Cemetery, Washington, Pennsylvania.
