Melissa Diane Durila, 36, of Amity, died at 10:04 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health.
She was born December 5, 1970, in Washington, a daughter of Ferdinand Michael and Catherine Marie Smalley Matula of Marianna.
Mrs. Durila was a homemaker and Catholic.
She was a 1987 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and attended Boyd College, Pittsburgh.
She enjoyed her cats.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a son, Dustin James Durila, and a daughter, Ashley Kaitlin Durila, both at home; two stepsons, James Leroy and wife Denice Durila Jr. of Wanachee, Wash., and Chad Peter Durila of Marianna; two stepdaughters, Lisa Lynn Durila of Marianna and Tina Ann Durila of Washington; two sisters, Mariaelena and husband Mark Millsapes of Denver, N.C., and Michelle and husband John Poyle of Hagerstown, Md.; former husband James L. Durila; and two stepgrandchildren, Destinee Hope Wicks and Javon James Palmer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Independent Cemetery.
