Lewis David Nichols, Jr., 70, of Washington, died at 10:27 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2007, in Washington Hospital emergency room.
He was born September 17, 1936, in Washington, a son of Lewis D., Sr., and Ida Beverina Nichols.
Mr. Nichols graduated from Trinity High School and was employed as a millwright at Jessop Steel for thirty-nine years.
His faith was Catholic.
An avid golfer, he also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.
In June 1955, he married Jean Kilgore Nichols, who died April 2, 1991.
Surviving are a son, David Nichols, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Carla (Richard) Ricker, of West Palm Beach, FL.; and Ronda (Randy) Corso, of Washington; two sisters, Carolyn Celani and Joyce Novak, both of Washington; five grandchildren, Eric and David Ricker, Kirsten Perez, Lindsy Ricker and Sylvio Corso; and seven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2007, with Father Thomas D. O�Neil officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
