Jerry Robert "J.R." Dague Jr., 36, of Washington, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, as a result of injuries received in an accident.
He was born July 15, 1969, in Washington, a son of Sheila Ann Smodic Dague of Washington and the late Jerry Robert Dague Sr.
Mr. Dague graduated from Washington High School and Triangle Technical School.
He was Methodist and enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
Mr. Dague was employed as an electrician by Fred Barton Electric.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Desert Storm. His military honors included the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars, Expert Marksmanship Badge-Rifle, M-16, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge and Kuwaiti Liberation Medal.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Jesse J. Dague, and a daughter, Shannen L. Dague, both of Claysville; a sister, Jennifer Rebecca Craig of Cape Coral, Fla.; grandmother Mary Dague; and uncles Leroy L. Feather, Vincent F. Smodic, Dennis L. Smodic, Donald E. Smodic and David R. Dague.
Deceased are his grandparents, James Richard Dague, Vincent Smodic and Frances L. Smodic.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 until 8 p.m., which is the time of services, Monday, July 3, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Memorial contributions may be sent to his children in care of Sheila Dague, 65 Lee Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
