Frances Josephine Marks Andrew, 93, of Uniontown, formerly of Prosperity, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in Marquis House, Uniontown.
She was born September 10, 1912, in Broughton, a daughter of Joseph and Anne Pikis Marks Sr.
Mrs. Andrew graduated from Trinity High School in 1931 and Washington Hospital School of Nursing in 1935.
She was a registered nurse at Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Andrew was a member of Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church in Prosperity and Washington Hospital Alumni Association.
She enjoyed crocheting, solving crossword puzzles and watching baseball, football and soccer.
On December 5, 1936, she married John Gaylord (Jim) Andrew, who died September 14, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter, Eldora (William) Wallencheck of Uniontown; a sister, Helen Westlund of Kirkland, Wash.; two grandchildren, Jacqueline (Alan) Workman and Jay Ealy; and three great-grandchildren, Chad, Brett and Kelsey.
Deceased are two brothers, Joseph Marks Jr. and Edward J. Marks, and a sister, Elizabeth Klein.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2006, with Pastor Larry Deemer officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
