Joyce L. King, 67, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Washington, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006, in Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Grove City, following a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of George A. and Mildred Helen Evans Phillips.
Mrs. King graduated from Avalon High School in Pittsburgh in 1956 and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Prosperity.
She was employed at Pioneer Pharmacy in Washington as a pharmaceutical technician.
On July 24, 1959, she married Joseph George King, who died June 1, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Craig A. King (Niki Kelley) of Mt. Holly, N.J., and Joseph R. (Debra A.) King of Harrisville; a daughter, Robin E. King (Douglas Kirschner) of Avella; seven grandchildren, Craig A. King II, Brandon M. King, Nathaniel John King, Shane King, Lauren King, Jessie Evans and Amber Kirschner; and a great-grandchild, Jasmine King.
A son, Edward A. Danko, is deceased.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, in Harmony United Presbyterian Church, Harrisville, with the Rev. Kay Johnson and the Rev. John McElwain officiating.
