Margaret Pansy Lacock, 92, of Washington, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in Donnell House, following a brief illness.
She was born June 14, 1914, in Smithton, a daughter of Samuel and Veronica Pazuchezucs Salada.
Mrs. Lacock attended a year of business school and had worked as a seamstress for 14 years at Washington Laundry.
She was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, formerly Allison Avenue Baptist Church, Washington.
Mrs. Lacock enjoyed sewing, reading and watching football and baseball.
On July 4, 1935, she married James Lacock, who died January 30, 1985.
Surviving are a son, Edward (Terry) Lacock of Washington; a daughter, Margaret (Chuck) Cooper of Wickliffe, Ohio; a brother, Ernest Salada of Washington; six grandchildren, Jack Lacock, Diana Francis, Joseph Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Jeremy Lacock and Easton Lacock; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, John Lacock; three brothers, Arthur, Alex and Arnold Salada; two sisters, Violet Walker and Lillian Norris; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Desiree.
Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brownson House, 1415 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
