Karen Lynn Demnyan, 59, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, due to injuries received in an automobile-pedestrian accident in Cecil.
She was born October 6, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy Helen Harton Gergosky.
She was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Mrs. Demnyan worked in the meat/deli department of Festival Foods, Giant Eagle and Best Mart. She also worked for Dr. David Frame for 25 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
Mrs. Demnyan enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
In May 1972, she married George Thomas Demnyan, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Sean (Natalie) Demnyan of Muse; a stepdaughter, Darlene (Corey) Clark of McMurray; a sister, Betty Lou Messner of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Jack, Jake and George Demnyan; three stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Daniel Clark; an uncle, Harry Harton of Washington; and an aunt, Sara Lomax of Danville, Ill.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a stepson, Timothy Thomas Demnyan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 23, with Father Edward Schleicher officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, Peters Township.
