Judith Ann Burt, 65, of Canonsburg, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in Donnell House, Washington. She had been ill since January 2004.
She was born October 15, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of Raymond J. and Marjorie Ferguson Bainbridge Karp.
Mrs. Burt attended Washington High School. Before retiring in 1997, she worked as a nurse's aide at McMurray Hills Manor for 19 years.
She was a member of Christ Church and enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
On October 20, 1957, she married Duane Hartzell Burt, who died in 1997.
Surviving are a son, James Michael Burt of Canonsburg; a brother, Raymond Karp Jr. of Covington, Ga.; two sisters, Karen Bryner of Hickory and Rose Peterman of Mesa, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Shaney Marie Burt.
Deceased are a son, Duane Hartzell Burt Jr., and three sisters, Beverly Smith, Marjorie Sherves and Loretta Peffer.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Services and burial in Chartiers Hill Church Cemetery will be private.
