Freda Irene Day

Claysville resident was homemaker. Freda Irene Day, 86, of Claysville, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in Donnell House,Washington, following a brief illness. She was born August 18, 1920, in Grafton, W.Va., a daughter of Bryan and Jennie M. Lawson Dixon. Mrs. Day was Protestant and a homemaker. On April 19, 1946, she married Harry A. Day, who died December 9, 1983. Surviving are a son, Buddy L. (Kathleen) Day of Claysville; a grandson, Lance Eric Day; a niece, Leslie DeGarmo of Claysville; three great-nieces, Amy Carter, Missy Piatt and Keley Hinton; and four great-great-nieces, Destini and Amyah Hinton and Regan and Riley Carter. Deceased is her sister, Pauline D. Thompson. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Private burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
