Homer O. Hemelrick

Homer O. Hemelrick, 84, of Homosassa, Florida, formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington on September 20, 1921, a son of William Gordon and Edna Miller Hemelrick. Mr. Helmelricj worked more than thirty-five years at Ciba Geigy prior to his retirement. On November 12, 1950, he married Elnora " Winky " Wenman, who is deceased. He is a member of the American Legion Post # 186 in Florida and is a past member of Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175. Surviving are a daughter, Jan Malik ( Harry ) with whom he made his home; two grandchildren, Kristi Fonner and Angela Malik; and three great-grandchildren, Billy and Nicole Fonner, and Samantha Ruby. Preceding him in death are three sisters, Faith Bennett, Ruth Ealy, and Freda Fonner. Friends of Homer O. Hemelrick, 84, of Homosassa, Florida, formerly of Washington, who died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, will be received on Friday, from 7 to 9 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
