Catherine Marie Peebles

Catherine Marie Peebles, 79, of Washington, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, in Donnell House, following a brief illness. She was born August 8, 1930, in Industry, a daughter of Paul and Helen Visnick Aralica. Mrs. Peebles managed a convenience store for 30 years and enjoyed crocheting. She was Presbyterian by faith. On June 24, 1948, she married Wells Edward Peebles, Jr., who died August 16, 1971. Surviving are two sons, Wells E. Peebles, III, of Canonsburg and David Neil Peebles of Bronson, Florida; a daughter, Betty Jane Hemelrick of West Alexander; three grandchildren, Christopher Hemelrick, Cathy Bushnell and Crystal Farabee; and five great-grandchildren, Victoria Baumgardner, Audra Baumgardner, Derek Baumgardner, Abigail Bushnell and Yasmine Hemelrick. Deceased are a daughter, Patricia M. Farabee; and a granddaughter, Helen Romaine Peebles. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, is in charge of arrangements.
