Lillian M. Capo, 74, of Washington, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, in her home following an eight-month illness. She was born February 2, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of John and Mary Putz Umshares. Mrs. Capo worked as a dietary aide at Washington Hospital for more than 20 years. She attended St. Hilary Church, Washington. She enjoyed making latch-hook rugs, puzzle books and her dogs. She loved collecting angels. She attended Washington High School. On February 23, 1950, she married James Capo, who died July 1, 1970. Surviving are three sons, James (Leona) Capo Jr. of Whitehall, David (Mary Esther) Capo, with whom she made her home, and Ronnie (Evelyn) Capo, both of Washington; a brother, John Umshares of Canonsburg; a sister, Jean Carey of Washington; four grandchildren, Candy Capo, Jim Capo and Daniel and Charles Browning; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Ruth Figgins. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
