Kathleen James Fleissner, 84, of Washington, died Monday, February 6, 2006, in Mountain View Specialty Care Center, Greensburg, following a one-year illness.
She was born July 26, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of Leslie John James Sr. and Mary Gertrude Cullis James.
Mrs. Fleissner graduated from Washington High School in January 1940. She was a grocer and co-owner of James Food Market for more than 50 years and served as an officer in PX Markets.
Mrs. Fleissner was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a member of Altar Guild and Episcopal Church Women.
She was a member of Current Events Club in Washington.
On December 29, 1946, she married George John Fleissner, who died May 29, 1975.
Surviving are a son, Alan J. (Ellen) Fleissner of Greensburg; a brother, L. John (Dorothy) James Jr. of Washington; and two grandchildren, Christopher George (Lisa) Fleissner and Kimberly Laura Fleissner.
Deceased is a brother, Harry James.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Wiliam G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, in Trinity Episcopal Church, 550 South Main Street, Washington, with the Rev. Karen B. Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
