Mildred S. Fleissner

Mildred S. Fleissner, 90, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in her home, following an eighteen month illness. She was born March 26, 1915, in Washington, a daughter of Harry and May Young Seibert. Mrs. Fleissner graduated from Washington High School in 1932. Her faith was Presbyterian. Mrs. Fleissner served in the Army Air Force, during World War II. Mrs. Fleissner was employed in various positions by the City of Washington for forty-five years. At the time of her retirement, she was a clerk in the Treasurer’s office. She was a member of Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175, American Legion, a member of the Elks, where she was a former president of the Ladies of the Elks, and a member of the golf team, and a member of Alpine Bowling. On November 24, 1938, she married Leroy W. “Abieâ€쳌 Fleissner, who died December 2, 1982. Surviving are a son, Jack Leroy (Jean) Fleissner; a sister, Lois Ann “Mookâ€쳌 Blake; two grandchildren, Jack (Amanda) Fleissner and Joelle (Brian) Vaughn; three grandchildren, Jacob Fleissner and Coleman and Luke Vaughn. Deceased are a sister, Anita “Skizzyâ€쳌 Seibert; and a brother, Jack Andrew Seibert. Friends and family will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 E. Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006, with the Rev. Don Amon officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
