Eleanor Blanche Karoleski, 89, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health since August. She was born July 23, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph and Helen Dubelle Urbanek. Mrs. Karoleski attended Washington High School and worked as a packer-inspector at Metro Glass/Tygart Valley Glass for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, Washington, where she was active in its Ladies Adoration Society and other activities. Mrs. Karoleski attended Brookwood Adult Day Care, Venetia. On August 31, 1940, she married Thadeus E. Karoleski, who died July 30, 1981. Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Marie) Karoleski of Portsmith, N.H., and Jeffrey (Barbara) Karoleski of Venetia; a daughter, Elaine (Jack) Micco of Washington; a brother, Joseph Urbanek of Washington; a sister, Stella Spryszak of Newberry, Ohio; five grandchildren, Erin Weston, Lori Areford, Michael Karoleski, Leslye Selway and Tarl Karoleski; three stepgrandchildren, Kara White, Romy Wightman and Drew Micco; and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Edward Urbanek; a sister, Alice Urbanek; and two grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Mack as celebrant.
