Margaret Jane Rowe, 88, of Washington, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, in Washington County Health Center, Washington. She had been in declining health for six months. She was born September 23, 1917, in Washington, a daughter of John and Margaret Brown. Mrs. Rowe graduated from Trinity High School and was a former member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. She worked in the office at Sears for several years. She also worked at Womledorf Trucking and as a telephone operator for Bell of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Rowe enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, cooking and reading. On June 12, 1938, she married Edward F. Rowe, who survives. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Diana Post and Randy Rowe; a great-grandchild, Wyatt Rowe; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Fred L. Rowe; and two sisters, Ethel Cimino and Viola Irey.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor George Garancosky officiating. Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
