Ruth K. Bolen Grimm, 92, of Amherst, Ohio, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, February 2, 2006, in her residence, following a sudden illness.
She was born November 3, 1913, in Smithfield, a daughter of Frank and Isa Ellen Jennings Bolen.
Mrs. Grimm resided in Pennsylvania until 2002, when she moved to Amherst to be near family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, sewing and cleaning and was involved with her children and grandchildren.
Her husband was a minister in the Nazarene Church when they resided in Pennsylvania. She was a Sunday school teacher from 1962 to 1982 in First Church of the Nazarene, Washington.
Her husband, the Rev. James R. Grimm, to whom she had been married for 69 years, died March 7, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Florence E. Walters of Amherst; a son, James R. Grimm of Dixon, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Blanche Brownfield of Leckrone.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a son, Lewis P. Grimm, who died in 2000; five brothers; and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, February 5, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor David Woods of Calvary Ridge Church of the Nazarene, North Ridgeville, Ohio, officiating. Burial will be Sunday in Mount Moriah Regular Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield.
