Eva Gertrude Luellen, 83, of Chicora, formerly of Washington, died at 9:45 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2006, in St. Barnabas Nursing Home, in North Hills, Gibsonia. She resided at the nursing home the last nine months.
She was born December 5, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of James Maurice and Nellie Gladys Seward Pattison.
Mrs. Luellen attended Washington High School.
She had been a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, in Washington, and the First Methodist Church of Butler, after moving to Parker, in 1982.
She was employed by Washington Hospital, as an EKG Technician, for ten years, and was always active in the hospital’s Auxiliary.
Mrs. Luellen was a member of Washington, Butler and Parker City Chapter, #60, Order of the Eastern Star.
On July 8, 1939, she married Russell W. Luellen, Sr., who died November 25, 1995.
Surviving are a son, Russell W. Luellen, Jr., of Chicora; a brother, David Pattison, and a sister, Evelyn Pattison, both of Washington; three grandchildren, John, Scott and Mark Luellen, two step grandchildren, Michael Callihan and Machaelle Hernon; six great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Sara Ann Luellen, and a brother, James Pattison.
Friends will be received 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2006, with Pastor Randall Forester officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
