Willis F. Jenkins, 71, of Washington, died at 9:11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 12, 1935, in Washington, a son of Henry and Annabelle Jenkins.
He was a coal miner, having worked 23 years for Eighty Four Coal Co. He attended school in Burgettstown and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In 1961, he was united in marriage to Rita Evans, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, George Evans of Washington; two daughters, Darlene Remaley of Washington and Tracy and husband Kevin Anesetti of Washington; four sisters, Juanita Snodgrass of Colliers, W.Va., and Evelyn McMasters, Lydia Hartzog and Dolores McMasters, all of Washington; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Walter W. Jenkins; and a sister, Patricia Jean Brooks.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, followed by interment in Washington Cemetery.
