West Alexander resident worked for Ball Glass
Terre Benton Church, 49, of West Alexander, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006.
He was born November 3, 1956, in Fort Benning, Ga., a son of Homer E. Church of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Lila J. Saville Bard of Washington.
Mr. Church was a graduate of Trinity High School and was Protestant.
He worked for 13 years at Glenshaw Glass as a shift supervisor. He also worked for Dwain Church Construction from 1991 to 1995, Ball Glass in Muncie, Ind., from 1988 to 1991 and Ball Glass in Washington from 1981 to 1987.
Mr. Church was a Member of Meadow Lands Sportsmen's Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Kody P. Michael.
On August 24, 1996, he married Darla Porter, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, parents and grandson are a daughter, Tricia Church of Washington; two brothers, Dwain (Kathy) Church of Amity and Glenn Bard of Greensburg; two half brothers, Daryl Church and Bruce Church, both of Hedgesville; a sister, Dorothy (McKinley) Richardson of Aurora, Colo.; a stepsister, Rebecca (Brian) Sharp of Clarksville; two nephews, Ryan Church of Amity and Andrew Brockhouse of Colorado; a stepmother, Jean Church; a stepfather, William J. Bard; and his former wife, Sandra Malarkey Church of Washington.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 until 4 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, January 22, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. William Bard officiating.
