Washington Mould employee for 37 years
Glenn Ralph McAdams, 90, of Washington, died Friday, February 24, 2006, in Washington Hospital after having been in declining health for three years.
He was born September 30, 1915, in VanKirk Station, a son of Ralph and Florence Post McAdams.
He was a 40-year member of West Washington United Methodist Church.
Before retirement, he was a machinist at Washington Mould for more than 37 years. He was a longtime member of the NRA and an avid pistol enthusiast, having shot in many competitions. He was also a member of Dormont Sportsmen's Club.
On October 29, 1936, he married Florence E. Phillips, who died March 11, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, James McAdams of New Castle, Del., and David McAdams of Washington; a brother, Bill McAdams, and a sister, Ruth Hall, both of Washington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Lester and John, and a sister, Eleanor.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, with the Rev. Keith Lohr officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
