Derek Delmar Huffman

Construction worker attended Trinity High School. Derek Delmar Huffman, 22, of Washington, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, in Stuart, Fla. He was born May 30, 1983, a son of Kenneth Delmar and Robin Lynn Ealy Huffman of Washington. Mr. Huffman attended Trinity High School and was a member of Friendship Community Church in Washington. He was a construction worker with Southern Erectors Construction Corp. Mr. Huffman enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports, especially wrestling and basketball. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Jennifer Huffman of Washington; maternal grandparents, Alice and Tony Ceccine of Washington; maternal great-grandmother Viola Kovacicek of Washington; aunts Debbie Clark of Seguin, Texas, and Christie Clutter of Washington; uncles Keith Pattison, Jim Pattison and Dennis Huffman, all of Washington; aunt and uncle Linda and David Rugg of Washington; cousins Nicole and Katlin Pattison and Amanda Rugg; and Brian and Brandon Clark and Zachary Rugg. Deceased are paternal grandparents Delmar and Edith Huffman. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 23. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
