Jerilyn Ruffing, 52, of Washington, died at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Pavilion, Pittsburgh, following a two-month illness.
She was born April 20, 1953, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Richard Joseph Ruffing of Greenville and Elizabeth Virginia Ruffing Mihalic of Sun City, Ariz.
Miss Ruffing graduated from Canon-McMillan High School and attended Bradford School for two years.
She worked as a scheduler at Washington County Transportation System for eight years.
Miss Ruffing attended Friendship Community Church and enjoyed baking and reading.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Richard (Claudia) Ruffing of Moon Township and John (Debbe) Ruffing of Washington; a sister, Judy (Jim) Watt of Prosperity; eight nephews and nieces, Zachary, Ariana, Nathan, Karina, Lauren, Christopher, Valerie and Monica; and a great-nephew and a great-niece.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Services will be held at a day and time to be announced. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Contributions may be made to Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
